Our Instructors & Staff Members
Our Instructors have spent many years devoted to training in the art of Karate and other martial arts and have attained a certain level of expertise to qualify them as teachers and also mentors.
Through extensive testing, certification and tournament level competition, our staff has attained mastery in this martial art and now enjoy sharing their skill and passing it on to their students. Here are a few of All American Karate Academy's instructors and other staff members, starting with Kermit Gonzalez:
Kermit Gonzalez (Chief Instructor)
Shihan Gonzalez started his Karate training from the age of 10, earning his first black belt at the age of 17 in the style of Kyokushinkai. Upon reaching his 18th birthday he earned the rank of 1st Degree in the style of Shotokan in addition to his 2nd Degree in Kyokushinkai. In June of 1977 he joinned the United States Army where he achieved numerous accomplishments as well as serving 20 years of active military service. * Former U.S. Army Karate Team Coach, Pan Am Games,1987. * U.S. Army Certified Hand to Hand Combat Instructor * Kata, World Champion at The European Open Martial Arts Championship, 1984 Koblenz Germany. * Former member of The U.S. Army Tae Kwon Do Team, Olympic Games Seoul Korea, 1988. * Rated as one of the Top Three Weapons/Kata/Fighting Competitor in the Open circuit from 1983 to 1994 in Europe, Texas, South/Baja California, Kentucky and surrounding States. * Retired from competition in 2002 due to a knee injury/surgery. * Inducted to the Hall of Fame in 2001 for Master of the Year. * 7th degree Black Belt / Kempo Jutsu Kai * 4th Degree in Shotokan/Sei Ryoku Zen Yo Karate * 3rd Degree in Shito Ryu * 2nd Degree in Kyokushinkai * 1st Degree in Kenpo * 1st Degree in Tae Kwon Do "Shihan Gonzalez in conjuction with Shihan Mark Kern are always looking for new potential instructors that would like to be part of the team. K. Gonzalez Jr. (Nidan / 2nd Degree Black)
Sensei Li competed in numerous Martial Arts tournaments in other States and Europe during his father "Sensei Gonzalez" military assignments. He has won several 1st and 2nd places in Kumite (Fighting). Sensei Li also has a background in Judo and is a Blue Belt in Gracie Jiu-Jitsu with Mr. Jonathan Burke at the Orlando Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Academy in Ocoee Florida. www.the6levels.com (407) 905-9982

Yaidel Gonzalez (1st Degree Black Belt)
Yaidel is a 1st Degree Black Belt in Shito Ryu and has been studying Karate from the age of 6. Presently 17 she has achieved numerous awards studying the Art's of Shito Ryu, Shotokan, and Kempo Jutsu Kai. In 2001 Yaidel Gonzalez was the second runner up under the FLMA (Florida League of Martial Artist) as the Best Kata and Fighting Competitor. Yaidel Gonzalez brings plenty of experience to the Academy and is an example to all the teenagers in our community.
